If you use the "Bespoke" section when it comes to measuring trousers (meaning you don't use try-ons), here is how you should proceed:

  • Select the cut your customer desires. Basically, the cut accounts for the allowance given to the thighs and the seat of the trousers.
  • In order to respect your customers' proportions, we suggest that you always keep in mind the overall look of the garments you create when inputting measurements.

Outseam (trousers length):

  • Put the measuring tape on the top of the waistband.
  • Align the tape with the outseam.
  • Measure to where the customer wants the trousers to end.
  • NB: usually, one measures to the middle of the heel.

Thighs:

  • Put the measuring tape on the fullest part of the thigh.
  • Make sure the tape is leveled.
  • Input the measurement you read.
  • The allowance will be added automatically depending on the cut you select.
  • NB: the finished thighs measurement should be close to the u-rise measurement.

Trousers leg opening:

  • Put the measuring tape on the calf.
  • Input the skin calf measurement as the leg opening.
  • NB: you may increase or decrease this measurement depending on the customer's shape.

U-rise:

  • Put the measuring tape between the client's legs, from the top of the front waistband to the top of the back waistband.
  • Verify there is neither a loose nor a tightening on the measuring tape.
  • input the measurement you read.
  • NB: the u-rise measurement should be close to the finished thighs measurement.
  • For Zipper length - average will be 0.21" ~ 0.24" of the u-rise.

    Zipper length 4.8" ~ 7.2" is used for u-rise 20" ~ 32";

    Zipper length 7" ~ 10.5" is used for u-rise 33" ~ 44".

Seat:

  • Put the measuring tape on the most prominent part of the seat.
  • Make sure the tape is levelled.
  • Input the measurement you read.
  • The allowance will be added automatically depending on the cut you select.

Waist:

  • Put the measuring tape where the customer is planning on wearing his trousers.
  • Input the measurement you read.

NB: Please note that all the measurement sections that are grey (not black) are NOT mandatory.
