If you come across customers that ask for polos, here is how you should design them in the platform:
- Create a new shirt.
- Select the collar CL06 - for polo.
- You may customise the collar point length, but we recommend 2.75”.
- Select the stiffness 1 - Unstructured (polo).
- For the collar stays, please select None.
- For short sleeves, please select SL01 - Overlock stitch (POLO ONLY).
- For long sleeves, please select any of the 1 button, non convertible cuffs.
- Select the stiffness 1 - Unstructured (polo).
- For the back, please select No Pleat and Regular yoke.
- For the placket, please select 2-button polo.
- Casual: please select the hem Straight - 5cm vent and overlock stitch (POLO ONLY).
Important : try to keep the rest of the design as simple as possible, to avoid potential design conflicts.
Also, make sure you adapt your customer’s measurements. The chest should usually be looser for a polo than it would be for a dress shirt. Remember that your customer will need to be able to put on the polo over their head, unlike a shirt, which can be unbuttoned all the way.
We recommend that you add polo shirt templates in your design room, with all the necessary options preselected. This way, you will save a lot of time when selling them.
