You might notice that the list of interior shape linings has changed. MTM has changed the wording on existing lining shapes and cuts that already existed, but hopefully this will make designing the interior of the jacket a bit easier.

The options are listed by quantity of lining, combined with jacket cut quarters -->

  • Full lining options:
    • Full lining, slightly closed quarters *STANDARD*
    • Full lining, open quarters *NEW*
    • Full lining, fully closed quarters
  • 1/2 lining options:
    • 1/2 lining, slightly closed quarters *NEW*
    • 1/2 lining, open quarters
    • 1/2 lining, fully closed quarters
  • 1/4 lining options:
    • 1/4 lining, slightly closed quarters *NEW*
    • 1/4 lining, open quarters
    • 1/4 lining, fully closed quarters *NEW*

Essentially, you need to decide first if your client wants a full, half or quarter lining shape.

Then, you will decide the cut of the front quarters of the jacket.

The default shape is noted as *STANDARD* on the drop down list above. This was formerly known as full lining, round bottom.

***If you didn't change the shape of the jacket quarters on previous orders, this was the default.

Open quarters

This will mean the front panels of the jacket are smaller, creating a larger opening under the bottom button, commonly referred to as a cutaway style.

Closed quarters

This means the front panels of the jacket will be larger, creating a smaller opening under the bottom button.

This is beneficial for larger clients, as the front panels will drape better on a bigger belly.
