Establishing your retail price with MTM.Design is crucial for covering costs (CMT, fabric, shipping, etc.) and ensuring proper margins. Once set, prices can be shown on design builders for client transparency. Here’s a guide on how to set up your retail pricing:

Important notes:

  • MTM.Design can enable or hide visual retail pricing. If you prefer to keep price hidden, skip these steps!
  • Retail pricing formula: ((fabric cost per meter * fabric usage) + CMT + estimated shipping cost) * brand markup multiplier.
  • Live pricing, including up-charges, will be visible on the builder once configured.
  • You can learn more about up-charges and how to set them in this article.

1) Retail pricing by book/collection

  • Ideal for collections where fabric costs are consistent.
  • Navigate to Admin > Fabrics > Collections, click the edit pencil, and enter the retail price in the “Price” box for applicable garment types.
  • Ensure prices are formatted numerically with two decimal places (e.g., 825.00).

2) Retail pricing by individual fabric

  • Requires a retail multiplication factor and desired shipping cost by item type.
  • Provide these numbers to MTM.Design to enable and update retail pricing.

These values are able to changed at any time.

3) Based on Current Store Pricing

A. Collection name : this is the name of the fabric book.

B. Garment type : each garment you can produce with MTM.Design is listed here. Keep in mind: not every book will have shirt fabrics, denim fabrics, etc.

C. Supplier code : this is the fabric ID code that appears on the back of the fabric swatches / on the lookbooks.
