When checking finished measurements of vests from RC, you need to make sure the measurements are taken exactly as shown below (especially if you are submitting a quality control). 

Best practices for taking finished measurements:

1. Put the garment on a table or floor and make sure it is flat and smooth without

any wrinkles or creases before measuring.

2. Please follow the regulations strictly for each item to guarantee the finished garment

is made to the specifications you submitted when placing the order.

1) Chest

Keep the vest flattened and fully buttoned, and measure horizontally across the bottom of the armholes. Double this measurement and you will have the finished chest.

2) Waist

Measure across the narrowest part of the vest (this typically will line up with the lower pockets), and double the number. This is the finished waist. 

3) Back length

Keep the back panel flat and measure vertically down from the top of the back panels to the bottom, centered over the back seam. 

** Note - if there is a collar on the vest, start from the top of the back panel, not the top of the collar. 

4) Vest front length

Keeping the vest flat, measure down from the base of the neck on the shoulder point to the bottom pointed edge. 

** Note - if the vest has a squared bottom (no points), measure along the same line to the bottom edge. 

5) First button position: single-breasted vest

Measure down from the base of the neck on the shoulder point to the center of the top button.

6) First button position: double-breasted vest

Measure down from the base of the neck on the shoulder point to the middle between the top functional button & the top decorative button (shown as point B above).
