Ordering outerwear garments is now extremely easy through the platform. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Enter the measurements in the “Outerwear Measurements” tab.
The measurements sent to the manufacturer are actually jacket measurements, not outerwear measurements, per se.
--> This allows you to order various pieces for your clients without having to measure them again.
On the “Outerwear Measurements” page, body measurements for Chest, Waist, Seat, and Biceps should be taken. For shoulder, sleeve length, and back length measurements, Jacket measurements should be used.
Once the measurements are applied, you can click on "Save" at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Create your item in a Cart and select one of the following types of outerwear:
Please note that if you are in an existing Cart, you can click “Add Formens item” and see the variety of products offered in the form of icons. If you create a new cart, you’ll see the Outerwear options on the right bar.
First, choose the fabric used. To populate the field with the chosen fabric, you will need to enter the first 3 letters or numbers of the fabric code.
Second, you can determine the fit you desire for the item in question. The listed fits suggest a reference chest measurement. I encourage you to refer to them to maximize the fit for your clients.
For some items, you will have a checkbox to indicate if this piece will be worn over a suit jacket. Clicking “Jacket underneath?” will add additional ease to the coat to allow for comfortable wear over a suit jacket.
Once that is done, you will see the suit measurements appear.
***IMPORTANT: these measurements are not the final measurements of the product, but rather the final measurements of the suit that will be used for taking the measurements of the ordered outerwear piece.
3. When all design elements are completed, you can click "Save" and proceed with the order.
The status will be updated on your order page in the same way as your usual items!
