There are many different custom items that can be created on the Studio from a variety of manufacturers. This article will explain how to create a custom Shirt and introduce the other made-to-measure garments available to you.


From a Customer Profile, you can create items by hitting the "New Cart" button (highlighted in red below). 



This will take you to a page that shows all of the different types of garments you can make. You can only select and design 1 item at a time. For this example, we will select a shirt to create.



After selecting "Dress Shirt", you will be prompted to +Create Dress Shirt and enter a name for the item. This can be changed later. After selecting "Create Dress Shirt", you will be prompted to enter a name for your shirt, and you will be able to change this later, if necessary. Upon hitting "Save", you will see the shirt builder.



Key Details for Creating Garments


  • Fabric Code: Enter a valid supplier ID code in the "Keywords or numbers" field. If the fabric doesn't appear, try:
    • Entering the fabric ID in a different format (e.g., excluding letters or extra numbers).
    • Granting yourself access to the fabric book (guide available here).
  • Filters: If necessary to find fabric, add filters to your fabric search by changing color, pattern, material & more.
  • Selecting Fabric: Choose fabric by clicking "Select" beside the swatch when it appears.
  • Customization: Click on the design components (Fabric, Collar, Cuff, Back, Pocket, etc.) to customize, or hit "Next" to proceed through options.
  • Exit to Cart: Click the shopping cart icon to return to the cart page.


Note: The builders for jackets, suits, overcoats, etc., are similar but have features specific to each garment type (e.g., lapels for suits, fasteners for trousers, etc.), so make sure you open every option & customizable feature you can. 


When you get to the end of the design, you will see a Summary page. This will review every feature you've selected for your shirt. When you're done, you can add this shirt to the cart by clicking the "Add to Cart" button.



Once in the cart page, you will see all items listed that have been created. You will also notice another option, named "Select a style". This option for custom clothing are considerably more limited in design & options. These are called fixed styles from the maker. 


All of the options shown here are continuously being updated and it's important to note that these are fixed, as the name implies. So, the design option shown for each style are set & cannot be adjusted through Remarks or tickets submitted to Help.


If you need further customization than what's available on a given Style, please write to Help, submit a ticket, or move your order back to the fully customizable builder ("Add an item" option). 




When finished with the design options, you can add to cart & the style will appear alongside any other custom items created.
