When checking finished measurements of a shirt from RC, you need to make sure the measurements are taken exactly as shown below (especially if you are submitting a quality control).
Best practices for taking finished measurements:
1. Put the garment on a table or floor and make sure it is flat and smooth without
any wrinkles or creases before measuring.
2. Please follow the regulations strictly for each item to guarantee the finished garment
is made to the specifications you submitted when placing the order.
If you have any questions or any special situations when you are taking the
measurement, please contact [email protected].
1) Chest
Keep the shirt flat on a table or floor without any wrinkle, fasten all the buttons, and measure horizontally at the very bottom of the armholes. Double this number and you have your finished measurement.
2) Waist
Keep the shirt flat, buttons fastened, and measure at the narrowest part of the waist. Double this number and you have the finished waist measurement.
3) Seat
Keeping the shirt flat and buttons fastened, measure horizontally at the very bottom of the side seams. Double this number and you have the finished seat measurement.
4) Bicep
Measure flat horizontally across the sleeve at the height of the bottom of the armhole, then double for finished bicep.
5) Shoulder
Lay the shirt flat and measure 4 cm below the shoulder seam, starting from the left shoulder point to the right shoulder point.
6) Collar
Keep the collar flat on a surface, and measure from the center of the fastening button across to the center of buttonhole. This is the collar measurement.
7) Sleeve length
Keep the shirt flat and measure down the length of the sleeve outseam from the shoulder seam to the bottom of the cuff. This is your sleeve length.
8) Cuff
Keeping the cuff open and flat, measure horizontally across between each edge of the cuff. This is your finished cuff measurement.
** Note - this is NOT the skin wrist measurement. For that, you will measure like the collar: from the center of the fastening button to the center of the buttonhole.
9) Back length
Keep the shirt flat, buttons fastened and measure vertically down the center of the shirt from the bottom of the collar (where the collar attaches from the body). This is the back length measurement.
