When checking finished measurements of jackets from RC, you need to make sure the measurements are taken exactly as shown below (especially if you are submitting a quality control.)

Best practices for taking finished measurements:

1. Put the garment on a table or floor and make sure it is flat and smooth without

any wrinkles or creases before measuring.

2. Please follow the regulations strictly for each item to guarantee the finished garment

is made to the specifications you submitted when placing the order.

If you have any questions or any special situations when you are taking the

measurement, please contact help@mtm.design

1) Chest

Keep the jacket flat without any wrinkle, fasten the top buttons and the leave last one open. If it's a double-breasted jacket, then fasten all the buttons. Measure horizontally at the bottom of

armhole, and double this this measurement is finished chest.

2) Stomach

Measure horizontally at the narrowest part of waist (usually about 8-10 cm above lower pocket for reference). Double this measurement and you have the finished stomach.

3) Seat

Measure horizontally from left to right, and double this measurement for the finished seat. If it's a double vent jacket, the vents needs to be overlapped 6 cm on both sides.

** Refer to the chart below to find out seat placement based on stomach & height (the distance between stomach and bottom is different based on customer height).

4) Bicep

Fold the bicep to an upward position, then the biggest part of bicep should be on the bottom. Notice that the measuring tape should be parallel with the stripe of fabric. Use tape to measure the distance from the bottom point of armhole to the fold line, then double the number to get the bicep.

5) Sleeve length

Wearing or hanging the jacket (the sleeve should be flat and smooth with no fold), measure the distance from the top of the shoulder point to the middle bottom of the cuff.

** Make sure the top of the tape starts at the seam; it may roll over the shoulder cap (second picture below).

6) Back length

Put the jacket on a model or hang up with a hanger. Measure vertically from the top of the back center seam down to the bottom hem of the jacket.

7) Shoulder

Hang or spread the jacket flat (back flat, no pleats or folds). Measure vertically from left shoulder point across the center of back 1 cm below neckline to right shoulder point.

8) Front length

Hanging the jacket, measure vertically from neck shoulder point to the bottom hem of jacket.

** Note - front length is not a measurement that MTM's system sends to RC for production.

9) First button stance

First button stance will differ slightly based on the style of the jacket you measuring. See different button styles listed below.

a) Lapel folded at first button (2-button jacket)

Measure from neck shoulder point (A) to lapel folded point (B) right above the top button.

b) Lapel folded at second button (3-button jacket)

Measure from neck shoulder point (A) to lapel folded point (B) at the second button.

c) Lapel folded between first & second button (3-button on lapel roll jacket)

Measure from neck shoulder point (A) to lapel folded point (B) between the first and second buttons.

d) Double breasted jacket

Measure from neck shoulder point (A) to the center of 2 buttons near the lapel folded point (B).

10) Lapel width

Lapels are measured differently depending on the type. If you're trying to check the sizing of a lapel that isn't listed below, please write to help@mtm.design

a) Notch lapel

Measure across from the corner of lapel to the folded edge.

b) Peak lapel

Measure across the pit of lapel vertically across to the folded edge.

c) Shawl lapel

Measure from joint of collar felt across to the folded edge.
