Stomach

Modified on Sat, 25 Jul at 11:38 AM

Whether the stomach is prominent, normal, or flat, which shifts the front to back balance of the jacket.

On a try-on

Prominent shows as the jacket pulling at the front with too little volume to cover the stomach, while it fits or hangs loose at the back. Prominent and side is the same, with the stomach also pushing out at the sides.

Use this setting with care, only when the imbalance is clear on the try-on.

Without a try-on

From the side, if the stomach clearly passes the chest line choose Prominent, and if it also pushes out at the sides choose Prominent and side. An athletic client with a broad back and flat stomach may sit at Normal.

Options

  • Normal
  • Prominent
  • Prominent and side

When in doubt

This setting affects comfort directly, so it is better to slightly underestimate and correct at the try-on than to over-correct from the start.

This article explains the setting. It is not an assessment of your client. We can explain what the setting does, but the choice stays with you and your brand.
